This was a great piece of officiating by the Lead. The players came from her area and she did not leave them. The Trail would have a hard time seeing this unless they were not watching the ball, which would have been hard to do considering the shooter is taking a near 3 point shot.
This is what I have heard called an "Action area." Where there are 3 or more players with the ball and the secondary official needs to help out and take a look to help out to catch screens, defensive plays and movement. Peace
