That's why I posted earlier that the officials may not have judged the gather to be complete until the left foot was planted. In real time it is hard to tell, IMO.

Agree. Players almost always gather the ball with a foot on the floor when they are splitting 2 defenders. Also he did not land simultaneously with both feet after the gather.
