Notre Dame vs Kentucky (Video 2/2)

Angle on the one replay looks like possible BI. Can anyone get a better video

Block-Charge 6 seconds to go

Might as well add the Block that was called with 6 seconds to go. Definitely think it's worth looking at again and discussing.

No, that was an easy block.

I had originally only seen the view from the side. Found the different view from the leads position and yes it's more clearly a block.

When watching live it looked like a charge. On the replay, defender just never came close to getting LGP.

Of course, by far the most obvious thing in either video is the spin move travel which David Hall encouraged us to get.

But nobody got it.

Just kills you, doesn't it? :p

Play #1: It does not look like a BI at all.

Play #2: Sorry, but this looks like a charge to me. The player is not airborne at the time of contact and the player looks like he moved laterally.

Peace

Looks like he gathers the ball while both feet are in the air. It is not obvious to me and I would pass on it too.

Peace

First contact was with the extended leg, for one. Second, I believe there was another angle (not included here) that showed the defender stepping forward into contact.

Play #2: defender moves over and under late to my interpretation.

At no point are both feet in the air.

Seriously, rewind and look at the next 100 spin moves like this you see. You'll be able to count the legal versions of it on one hand.

Translation: I don't like travels because the guys on tv don't call them.

I take this as an acknowledgement that I'm right in this case.
