Clemson / Vir Tech game yesterday. Throwin under Vir Tech hoop after a made basket. The Vir Tech player moves along the baseline and slips spread eagle and looses the ball from his grip. It hits the endline and rolls to a Clemson player who lays the ball in. Officials didn't blow the whistle and the commentators were jabbering about the ball hitting the line. This is a nothing correct?

As described, this should have been a throw-in violation. The ball cannot hit OOB before entering the court.

Sounds like a violation, no? For failure to throw the ball directly onto the court?

I did not see the play, but it sounds like he (unintentionally, of course) threw it OOB (when it hit the line).

Did you mean Miami?

Could have been Miami. Forgot the teams. Just looking for a consensus on the violation or not.
