Penn State vs. Iowa GT/BI (Video request)

With 7:51 to go in the second half.

There was a shot attempt by an Iowa play and the ball hits the backboard and about the same time the ball hits the outside of the rim (not in the cylinder) the PSU player pins the ball on the rim. Part of the ball was above the cylinder for NCAA GT purposes. But I have to look up if this was the actual rule being violated or just a good block.

Peace

He's an embarrassment, and doesn't win nearly enough to make him worth it.

NCAA rules

If the ball didn't have a chance to go in, it's not GT even if it contacted the backboard with part of it above the rim. I watched the replay and thought was a good no-call followed by, of course, the usual cluelessness from the commentators.

And a well-deserved whack for McCaffery. He's pathetic. And, he yelled at the wrong official. The L doesn't call GT. Wait, coaches don't know that? ;)
