Whistle from Trail--ASU/Colorado (Video)

Arizona St/Colorado, 3:20 of the 2nd half.

Trail comes with a long distance whistle right in front of the Lead and with the C closed. The replay to me, shows why he did, IMO. Judge for yourself.

thanks Gurus!!!!

Bonus play: The play was an And-1. On the ensuing free throw the defense violates, and both the L and C relay the number to the table. I know this, or something similar, was discussed recently as far as confusing the table by giving too much information on a violation.

Catch with left foot on the floor. Steps out with the right foot. Lifts left foot then puts it back down before the release.

And I can't imagine a single D1 game with that call being made. Learn from that.

What am I to learn? D1 has nothing to do with me. We're looking at a replay. I say I saw a travel. You don't say that I'm wrong, just that this call won't be made. Kinda proves my point.

I don't know about everyone else but I kinda wish you'd shut the fu¢k up about it. We know it's a travel by rule. We know it isn't called at the D1 level and is creeping into the lower levels. But it's how traveling is officiated nowadays.

Agree. He had the best angle for the play....looking between the defender and the shooter.

I don't see how the C doesn't have a foul here.
Also, I have to wonder why both the L and C are looking at the same guy during the FT for the violation. One of them shouldn't be looking there.

I don't like this from Trail. Nowhere near his primary, nowhere near his secondary, not a game-saving or crew-saving call. Lead or C could easily get this and Trail needs to let them referee their primaries.

Where else should he be looking? It was a rebound/put-back and all 5 defensive players were in the paint, 3 of them were not near another player, and the other two were at the ball. The Lead was straighlined...no angle at all. It was not on the C's side of the paint and while the C could have got it, the T had a better angle given the direction the contact came from....the outside defender. If the foul was on the #1, then the C had the best view. Plus, isn't the T"s side of the paint the T's secondary?

I see the foul as committed by #1.

While I agree that the ball hit red 11's hands when his left foot was on the floor, it's impossible to tell at real speed whether he really caught the ball before the right foot hit the floor.
