BTW, I have no problem with a foul by the trail on this play. They are mostly looking up top and this is easier in many cases to see this foul. The lead is not in a great angle and often has a blocked view.

Peace

I say that you are completely wrong. He didn't cleanly catch the ball. His right foot was his pivot foot.

He reported a push on #1, but it was actually #40 who bumped the shooter.

We need to stop thinking that the T is not well-positioned to see these kind of things. The L sometimes has the WORST view if the play is up high and with the ball going to the basket, what else is the T going to be looking at?

Truth is, we have 3 officials with 3 very different views. If one of them has the right view to come get a foul, come get the foul. When someone's taking it to the hole everyone should have an initial look before moving to rebounding action.

Since we have 3 officials, there's no need to guess -- if you're the L and don't see a foul, stay off it and trust the outside guys are looking too.

Staying in your primary has crept into places where it's not really applicable -- we're not talking about a dribbler on the perimeter here, after all.

People that routinely find travels in videos when others don't are likely calling them in real life when the video doesn't clearly support the call.

If the report was a push on B1 then I'm guessing that was wrong, because the T has a good angle to see the push on B40 where the L probably doesn't. All 5 defenders are in the paint, so the T has nothing else to be looking at, so come down and get it if you got the angle.

good call

agree Rich. I had this in one of my last games. The player makes a move from the trail's area. As it gets in closer, I see a violation when the ball gets on the players hip and he dribbles after. My partner is annoyed and asks, why did you call that, it was in my area. My response, was I had the angle, and there was no way he could have seen that the ball was wedged for a second on his hip. Don't be ball watching too much, respect the primary, but most importantly get the call right.
(ps- let's not get travel obsessed) why are more people doing that?

Id like to see video before judging your partner too harshly.
