might not have come to that had the crew got the push in the back on white.

I agree, but this was a case where even three officials may not have been enough. The incident was right at the T/L primary boundary. T was on ball, so he's out. L has a competitive matchup right in the middle of the paint, and because C had a developing matchup to his left, I think he conceded the paint to the L. So that left the matchup in question unofficiated. Maybe L could have seen the push through his peripheral, or maybe C could have come in with a very long-range open look call, but I think they both would have been guessing. Just a tough situation. Also, not 100% in real time if the elbow made contact or the WV player flopped, which also might have factored into L/C not having an immediate whistle.

T could have called an illegal screen at 25.7. Then the WV push gets missed. One can understand why TX was frustrated. No excuse for the elbow, but proves once again how getting the first foul helps prevent subsequent garbage.

Isn't it ironic that the TX coach called for a review, and then his player gets tossed?

I will have to disagree... The screen at 25.7 is too marginal to think about.

The push and retalliation tough but between lead and trail should have this. The matchup up high is not much for C... I think C is looks wide and is expanding to the paint to help... L should not be so focused on the paint matchup that everything else is missed. Both T and L need to be aware of that other match off ball...

But hey this is me...

Right call for F2 on the elbow. However I'm in the camp of people who've stated that if you get the illegal screen, or clean up the pushing and shoving off the ball after, that you are less likely to get us to the elbow. Granted it happens quickly and in a bit of dead spot coverage wise but with one team in zone and no one penetrating or creating competitive matchups elsewhere I would hope someone woudl have eyes on the 1 physical mathcup on the floor.

I think it's a tough play to officiate because of how the players were positioned. The C had multiple players on his side of the court. The Lead is watching the post matchup in the paint. The Trail has on-ball coverage. I would like to have had the Trail expand his coverage a little bit to see both the ball handler and the matchup that led to the ejection.

APG, this would be a great clip to bring to camp in June.

Even after the ball is dead the Trail is oblivious to what is going on.

And it was Tom Eades, the guy I just extolled for the timeout in the ISU @ KSU game. Figures.
