An old but fun Padgett thread

I had nothing to do for a few hours today so I read a bunch of old threads just to see how and/or if things had changed over the years. I found this post by Padgett and just thought I'd bring it here just for fun. Here it is:

A1 has ball in frontcourt outside 3 point line. A1 shoots and while still airborne, B1 intentionally pushes him in the back. The shot hits the back of the bracket and bounces straight up. As it comes down, A2 and B2 touch it at the same time in the cylinder. The ball doesn't go in. After A1 returns to the floor, he punches B1. Meanwhile, A2 and B2 have pushed each other in the chest.

Coach A comes off the bench and gets in your face and yells profanities. Coach B then screams that A2 isn't even listed on the roster and is not in the scorebook. Meanwhile, your partner notices that A3 is wearing an illegal uniform and B3 has an obscene tattoo. The scorer then informs you that the teams have been going the wrong way since the beginning of the quarter and besides, A1 actually got his 5th foul two minutes ago, but he forgot to tell anyone. Coach B yells for a timeout, you grant it and then realize he was out of timeouts.

And just to top things off, your partner yells at you for calling in his area.

What's the call???

Sweet Georgia Brown ...

I'm surprised that Mark Padgett didn't include that, previous to this play, the official ignored a ten second violation because this occurred on a court on an aircraft carrier crossing the International Date Line.

Then it must have been going west to east or it would have been a 86,410 second violation.

I worked this game before aircraft carriers were invented. :)
