I had similar play where I called a foul. Coach comments "That can't be a foul. He was going for the ball!"
Coaches say funny things.

We hear that line in soccer every single game.

Probably cuz at the highest levels of soccer, getting any of the ball means 99% of the time there wasn't a foul.

I was expecting a lot more on the "stare down." That's not even close, IMO. I don't think you can consider this a stare down.
