Team Control on Free Throw
 

NFHS. Official places the ball at the disposal of thrower A1. While A1 is holding the ball, A2 dislodges B2 at the top of the arc. Live ball contact by a teammate of the thrower before the ball is released.

This is a Team Control foul, correct?

Assuming it's a foul, then yes, it's TC

on a related topic... what is the history behind team control on a throw in? was it always 'no team control on a throw-in?' and it has just recently been changed, or, like the 'new' players enter on the release, is it just a reversion to the past?

It was added so you can have TC fouls during a throw-in (and during the action immnediately following)
