Iowa State at Kansas T but no T? (Video)
Lead official whacks someone after a made 3 with 9:13 left in the second half.
It's never mentioned -- there's a timeout right after this. Timeout completes and the ball's put back into play. Nothing in the boxscore. Am I imagining things? |

Damn Rich, you're right! Looks like Lead whacks someone there. There's no way he was granting the Iowa State timeout from there right? Maybe he decided to eat it? At first I thought you were talking about the weird OOB at 10:50....I've never seen that one before either.
Some of you may be able to browse to the plays (10:50 and 9:13 second half) here: Iowa State vs. Kansas. |
I can't get the link in the previous comment to work, but I'd like to take a look at it if anybody manages to get the clip. Didn't notice this last night in real time.

Bizarre. That looks like a T signal. Haven't seen anyone but true rookies ever use that for a timeout.

We should have JAR email Curtis Shaw for a clarification.

If I did the consensus would be "It doesn't matter." |
DoG?
Just speculating...
Maybe L was calling a 2nd DoG as the player hit the ball after it went through the basket? Maybe there wasn't a 1st DoG, which was sorted during the break, and therefore, no T? |
33 white jaws at 31 red after the basket. Mark Whitehead then taps 33 white. After that, I don't know what happens.

At first I thought it might be a double technical, but nothing ever showed in the boxscore.
