I usually get my whistles at Oshman's or a local sporting goods store. But the whistles I really like (the Fox40 whistles with the clear, plastic mouth guard - to me, they blow better and louder) I can't find anywhere. I see them on the Fox40 website but it doesn't look like you can order directly from Fox40 themselves.

Am I missing something here? I need this whistle by next week!

If you need one quickly, you can go to many sporting goods store and buy them. I have gotten them at Sportmart or any big chain that sells sporting equiptment. They usually cost more, but believe it or not, they usually have them.

Peace

Sounds to me like he checked "many sporting goods stores" but "can't find [them] anywhere".

Here we go again. . .

The Officials' Choice is also a good option....

Chuck, Chuckie, Chucky

No Chuck, what it sounds like to me he looked at two stores (he did not list the name of one of them) and concluded that he could not find them anywhere (internet, catalog, email). Because if he does not find them in his area, he might never get them through the mail in time. But then again, we also do not know what kind of area he lives in. He might live in a town of 10,000 or a few Million. In some cases, you can find them at the Wal-Mart if you look at the "Sporting Good" section. And I would not consider Wal-Mart a Sporting Good store.

Peace

Rut, he said that he looked in sporting goods stores and couldn't find them. You suggested that he look in sporting goods stores. How is that helpful?

Now, that is helpful. I was unaware that Wal-Mart carried stuff like this. However, this is not what you suggested in your first response. Thank you, though, for adding constructively with this one.

I should have said this so you can be happy.

Look at

Wal-Mart--in the sports section
Walgreens--in the toy section(might not be the right color though)
CVS--in the toy section
Champ Sports--Some might think they only sell shoes.
Footlocker--Same as above
Athletic Foot--Same as above

These of course are not locks, but I have found Fox 40 Whistle at all theses stores at one time or another. But there might be other stores without these names, that might carry them as well. Just trying to broaden your horizons. Especially in an emergency.

Try online at these places.

Honigs

http://www.honigs.com/store/shop.mpl

+POS

http://www.pluspos.com

Gerry Davis Sports

Purchace Officials

http://www.purchaseofficials.com

Official's Choice

GetOfficial.com

http://www.getofficial.com

If you cannot find a whistle at those places, you will not get one. But try those "non-sporting good" type stores first. You will be surprised they have them.

Is that good enough for you Chuckie?

Peace

Look at. . .

No, you should've said that so that you would have addressed the question. It doesn't make me happy one way or the other. I was merely pointing out that by telling him to check sporting goods stores (when he clearly says that he already checked sporting goods stores) you didn't answer his question. Your last two posts, however, have been very helpful.

Again, it doesn't have anything to do with being "good enough" for me. I'm not the one looking for the whistles. If you want to be able to participate constructively, then you have to read the question and give a relevant answer. Your first post was simply not relevant. Your last two posts in this thread, however, have been more along the lines of what the original poster was asking. Nice job.

LOL! You guys are hilarious!

I said that I get my whistles at Oshman's or any other sporting goods store--meaning Academy, blah, blah, blah, and so on...

My whistles--meaning the ones with the plastic mouth guard--are the ones I can't find anywhere. I have no problems finding the regular Fox40's.

Nonetheless, thanks for the advice.

I usually get my whistles when I walk past construction sites.
