Basket interference during shooting foul

Part of the "Tough Calls" video series under dispalcement entitled "wave off basket."

If Lead ref calls shooting foul on B1 when A1 drives toward basket but while ball is within cylinder basket interference by A2 occurs causing an AND 1.

Does the interference by A2 totally negate the free throw that were initially merited?

The video doesnt exactly explain if free throws are awarded or removed just that the AND 1 is waved off.

You would administer the free throws the same as if the basket was missed. The violation means it can't be counted, but you still have a foul in the act of shooting, which merits 2 free throws.

And in the reverse case...defensive BI....you count the bucket and the shooter gets 1 shot as if it went in.
