3 seconds in the lane
 
Reset on an airball or has to hit rim to reset?

I say it resets on anything we determine as a try. Had 2 partners last night state it had to hit rim to reset.

There has to be team control to have a 3 second count. Team control ends when the ball is released on the try. Hitting the rim or not is irrelevant.

Welcome to the forum. You should be a frequent participant to combat the type of incompetence you work with. By all means get your partners to sign up on this site. It will be a great benefit for all of you, plus we need some new meat:)

THREE SECOND!! I haven't called it in 50 years and I have been officiating since 1971! :D

May I introduce you to the guys who did my son's game last week? They could teach you how to call 3 seconds, and how important it is to count it quickly so you can call it a lot.:cool:
