During a rebound, A1 falls down in a sitting position then gains control of the ball. While trying to pass the ball to a team mate, she lays on her back and passes the ball. I know you can sit up if you are on your back, but what about the reverse? Both my partner and I let it go.

I would have, too. I believe that was a correct no-call.
