The 3 point shot was simply not a foul. I don't even think there was contact.

The learning here is that the trail is caught behind the play and does not have an open look. He tries to position adjust, but is too late and guesses based on the reaction of the offensive player and the flight of the ball. We must have an open look on this play - especially with the clock winding down and no doubt that the player with the ball is going to shoot.

Luckily, the old adage that "the ball doesn't lie" prevailed here. Had Gonzaga won this game it would be an absolute firestorm.

If I were a betting man, I would say the defender has his hand in "proverbial" cookie jar...he had his arm extended out in front of him and the shooter caught the arm as he was starting his upward motion with the ball. This is not unlike the rip through move seen more frequently in the NBA...so much so that they changed their interpretation on when a player was in the act of shooting on plays like this.

1) PC; that is great hustle by that defensive player

2) PC

3) I'm trusting Trail with this one, his angle was better than the camera's

4) I would not consider that first touch a dribble

5) I'm calling a foul on that. B1 goes through A1, depriving A1 of an opportunity of a put back.

He does have an open look. He actually moved because there was a player in his way at first.

I see nothing close to a travel on that play.
