Court Positioning question
Having a brain cramp, and I don't have my manual here to look it up -
On free throws (both 2 and 3 man), the Trail remains table side, correct? Thanks! |
Depends what you are working. NFHS, IAABO, NCAA-M are opposite the table. NCAA-W is table side.
|
NFHS 2 man, trail is opposite table, 3 man trail is table side.
|
It also depends on State / local mechanics adoptions. Here (IL), T is table-side in 2-person.

The Trail is on the same side in 2 person as well. Again, based only on the books, states or jurisdictions might change these things a little. But in the NF and CCA books, no mechanics has the trail opposite table on a FT. Peace |
Sorry, I am talking NFHS. State follows NFHS mechanics.
So, in both 2 and 3 man, during a free throw, Trail is table side. Correct? |
Your right T stays table side in NFHS. I read it quickly and was thinking of the L.:o I will go back to my corner and be quiet now.
