Yet another Shoe thread

Question on the Reebok Zigs for those of you that have been wearing them - do they seem to stretch out after some wear width wise? I have wider feet, and while the length is perfect, I could use slightly more width in the toe area.

Thanks!

The patent leather ones don't, at least not that I've noticed.

I am breaking in a pair of Patent Leather Zigs now and they have stretched some but not a lot. I also have wider feet, but after wearing them for a few games, they don't seem to pinch as much anymore.

I just ordered my second pair yesterday. First pair lasted 3 years. I ordered a 1/2 size bigger than I normally wear and they fit perfect.

Second season with mine, don't know that they have stretched much, but the certainly aren't as tight as when I first got them.

Anyone had a problem with the tread on the ridges coming loose. My first pair only lasted two seasons.

No noticed stretch nor bad stitching here.

I have had my Faux Patent Leather Zigs over a year now and they have not stretched at all.

Patent leather. I ordered mine online, without trying them on. After wearing them a full season, I now wish that I had ordered them a half size larger than my regular size, and I've been wearing the same size shoes, with no problems, for decades.

I"ve seen some crew members with the Zigs and they look really shiny, they have told me that at first the fit is tight though. And one guy showed me that he has a scuff mark that caused by a player stepping on his shoe during a break up of a contested held ball.
I use Nike all black cross trainers with a black sole (not white) and light charcoal (not white) swoosh, and of course black sox.

I didn't want to get the same shoes so many other officials get, and after looking around for a while I found a pair of Pumas that I like. I have yet to wear them on the court, though, so I'm hoping I'm not going to be disappointed.

Since the topic of shoes was brought up, I figured I'd ask...

Anybody ever worn the Puma Bioweb Elite (either as an officiating shoe or for anything else)? They can be seen here... Amazon.com: PUMA Men's BioWeb Elite Running Shoe Running Shoe: Shoes

On the tread of the shoe? If so, then yes.

Only two seasons? How long should shoes last?

ShoeGoo those little strips back on and all is good again.

If you listen to some experts, really one season is usually enough. But I guess it would depend on how much you use that particular shoe.

Peace
