I'm looking to buy this CCA jacket but have question about the size. I'm 5'10" but a bit skinny.. if you have one and if you don't mind telling me your ht/wt + size you wear? Thanks~!

Why are you buying this type of jacket? College basketball is going to a new jacket for next season. There will be very few if any places you can wear this.

It's for his high school games ;)

If he is in the Bay Area of CA that actually might be the case. I observed a crew wear them (the ones with the white stripes on the shoulders) for a NorCal game this past season and they told me that their entire HS association wears that jacket for games.

Really? I'm interested to see it! I'll be glad to have an excuse to not wear the current jacket, my version of which is not particularly comfortable.

patch...

It was my understanding the CCA is no longer in charge/has an agreement with Honig's...something to that effect.

I thought I remember reading something about a patch to cover up the CCA logo so we wouldn't have to buy new jackets...but I could be mistaken.

Regardless, I'm 6'1", 175lbs, and wear a large.

The CCA has kind of got out of the business of this jacket logo thing the last couple of years. But it has been reported as stated the jacket was going to change. If you watched D1 ball for example you saw jackets without logos. I know us small college guys did not buy a new jacket because we were told that we were going to have to buy another. They only good thing is I can wear the jacket somewhere else if I choose. But I probably will not choose to do so. ;)

Peace

I heard about the logo-less jackets, but was told it didn't matter if I got one or not. So I didn't. :p

Again it depends like everything else. Where are you using it and who you work for?

Peace

Can someone tell me what the CCA is or does? All I know is their logo is on the jacket and mechanics manual.

mtn335 Tue Apr 29, 2014 05:25pm

That's what I meant, my coordinator said it didn't matter (NWAACC north, northwestern washington JC). I just hadn't heard there was another new one on the horizon and was curious. That's all :-)

They are the Collegiate Commissioners Association. They work with the National Coordinator of the NCAA and a committee of Conference Supervisors and representatives from the NCAA (different levels too) to create mechanics for the college ranks.

Peace

Why is their logo on an article of clothing? I can see it being on the mechanics manual, but the jacket? And if it's on the jacket why not the shirt or pants?
