"I didn't cuss."
 

Church league game today. One teenager who had already been running his mouth decides it's okay to taunt an opposing player by saying "Yeah, b*tch" (in a church, nonetheless) after he makes a shot. Easy T for me, but of course he claims, "I didn't cuss. I said 'yeah, (something that sounded like b*tch).' " My thought is, "I know the difference between "b*tch" and whatever you say you said." After all, since we refs are blind, that means our hearing is superb. ;) My other thought is that no matter what he may have said, it was still very clearly taunting.

Just a funny story I thought I'd share.

"First, there's no requirement for you to cuss to be guilty of taunting. Second, yes you did."

"Go home and say that to your mother in front of your father"...

I don't know why that player would think it was something derogatory to say to the other player by just calling him a female dog. :p
