Should this be a block?

Looks like a PC foul all the way to me.

Peace

Looks like he called it for the defender falling away early. I like a no call there and I really don't like a block call.

There's another issue with this play.

This looks to be some "summer league" type game, and sometimes they use NCAA rules -- so maybe this was a RA play (even if it's not on the court and wasn't signaled as such by the official.)

Nothing... but if not nothing, PC.

Based on the ensuing throw-in coming from the sideline, I'd venture to say this was some type of NBA/D-League camp.

The throw-in spot would imply he called an offensive foul rather than a block (which obviously doesn't match his prelim signaling).

I'd have PC in a h.s. varsity game. LGB was established before A1 left his feet to try for goal, then his knee goes directly into B1's chest.

Based on the rules if there is a foul here i think its PC. I think this looks more like marginal contact and because of the bail out the official is calling a block, as some of the other poster's here have recommended as a punishment/to clean stuff up when players go down early.

RA doesn't apply here...it was a primary defender.

PC all the way - not even close. I'm guessing this official got "suckered" into his call by the defender leaning/falling backwards a little prior to contact.

Looks like a league where they don't shoot freethrows (or a one for two situation, but since he said, "score the goal", he automatically gets three points). Then D-League rules for the throw-in spot?

Maybe not during a fast break -- depending on the rules being used.
