T or Play On? (video)
This one comes from Utah (as I alluded to in an earlier post, there are internet streams everywhere which means I have a rather large video pool to choose from). A technical foul was called.

Play On ...
No chin up. No "taunt-like" embellishing. Lets go with one hand. Maybe he's trying to figure out how to land safely. I'm not serving tea on this play.

my wife just walked in and wanted to know what I was watching.... her call "Easy T" ;)
No chance. He senses someone behind him, then two different people graze him on the back - I'm POSITIVE he was hanging on to keep from landing on anyone.
Nothing to T here...play on.
Play onward!
No T at all. Not only that, the defender comes under him and touches him as if to let him know that he is there.
Peace |
No way I'd give a t here. There were players underneath the rim, so he had reason to hold on. And it's not like he did a chin-up, either.
No T.
Nothing. Play on.
Why in the world would an official call a T on this?
I'm with everyone here in the "play on" category. The initial hang was for the player's safety as his momentum carried him forward. Once he returned to vertical, there was a defender right there under the basket so holding on for a split second longer was totally appropriate.

Who blew the T? Doesn't seem to be the lead
