The Last Amateurs by John Feinstein

Chronicles the '99-'00 Patriot League season. If you don't know the Patriot League, it includes the USMA & USNA (Army & Navy) and 5 other northeast D1 teams who's average GPA surpasses the average rebounds per game of "big time" NCAA D1 teams. A fun book.

I read it a couple years ago, and I agree -- good stuff!!

I tend to think that anything by Feinstein is a good read. Both Amateurs and A March to Madness (about a season in the ACC) are well-written college basketball books.
