Thanks for the comments on the earlier held ball question. Let me give you a little background on my next question. I ref on military bases in Japan using HS FED and also do a couple of Japanese games each year using FIBA rules. Very few though-90% of my games are FED and I don't know the FIBA rules as well.
The following situation is from the FIBA March 2001 interpretations. Art 20 sit 2 "A5 and B5 jump to catch the ball. Both players have their hands firmly on the ball when they return to the floor but A5 lands with his foot (feet) out-of-bounds."
Interpretation--held ball because it happened before the OOB. Would this be the same in FED? I read a similar case in Fed where this was oob-but it did not happen when they were in the air.
