If that's not a PC then I don't know what it. the defender is in the path of the offensive player for like 40 feet and backtracking in a straight line. This was coming the whole time.

That is a PC that could have been called by the guy directing traffic outside the arena.

I'm curious to see how plays under NCAA-M rules will be called next year after officials have had a full year to adjust to the rule change. A lot of the plays discussed here would be charges under NBA rules/interpretations which has had the same rule as far as the defender having to have a legal position on the upward motion to shoot or pass the ball.

I don't see what this video has to do with any confusion around an interpretation or rule modification. I'm pretty sure Naismith would have a PC here as well.

Looks to me as if the offensive player just destroys the defensive player by knocking him to the ground. I would call this a PC foul at every level.

Even the offensive player knows its a PC. He doesn't even try to make the shot, he looks at the official.

That part was kind of funny.

definitely not, I would pull out a copy of this and hand to him explaining Legal Guarding Position.

4-23 Guarding

ART. 4 . . . Guarding an opponent with the ball or a stationary opponent without
the ball:
a. No time or distance is required to obtain an initial legal position.
b. If the opponent with the ball is airborne, the guard must have obtained legal
position before the opponent left the floor.
