T while shooter at the line
 

A1 at the line for 2. Im T, tableside listening to Bs assistant coach flap his gums. After a warning I turn and issue a technical. At about the same time A1 shoots. It went in and we allowed it. If he'd of missed I I was inclined to issue him another throw. Would that be correct?


Also on the timing of the technical I thought I should have withheld the tech until after the throw but what if the tech earned at 1 tic? Do you wait up til 9 more tics to issue tech? Coach could be a saint by then....

In this situation, wait, let the shooter shoot, then get it.

If A1 hasn't started the motion, then blow the whistle and the ball is dead. If A1 is shooting, then it counts. No rules based way (unless you call it disconcertion by B) to award a replacement shot.
