Throw in violation?

Team A is making a throw in after a made basket. They throw a bounce pass to a teammate who is in the opposite corner but in bounds. The pass bounces OOB before going to the teammate. Is this a violation? I know you are allowed to pass to teammates who are OOB with a bounce pass but was uncertain if the ball bounced OOB on a pass to a teammate who is in bounds.

What does rule 9-2-2 say about "directly into the court?"

I don't have my book in front of me. What does it say?

9-2-2
The ball shall be passed by the thrower directly into the court from out-of-bounds so it touches or is touched by another player (inbounds or out of bounds) on the court before going out of bounds untouched.
