Backcourt - Iowa / Mich St

Last night in the Iowa / MIch St game.
Player in the frontcourt bouces the ball off the division line to a teamate in the frontcourt. Do we have a backcourt violation here?
They officials didn't blow for a violation , although the center official looked a llittle out of position to see if the ball hit the line.

It was a violation. And missed.

And a big miss, as it resulted in a foul shortly thereafter, 1-and-1 for the team that kept the possession, hit the first, rebounded the second, and scored after the rebound.

Ouch.

It's a violation, but it's normally the T's call, not the C's. If the C is the one in the best position to call this, it's likely to be an easy call to miss.

Your ability to evaluate this play objectively is amazing. A big miss, give me a break.
