In the OP, the violation is not called. As others have stated, it's the same as going back and calling the travel or other violation later.

Example:
BC throwin, A2 takes the pass and dribbles towards the wrong basket. He picks up his dribble and shoots at the wrong hoop, misses, and moves to retrieve the rebound. He gets the rebound and shoots again, making the basket.

A coach requests a TO to correct a CE, knowing that the official should have called traveling on A2 and thus the score should not have counted.

There are any number of violations that could get missed because the calling official just didn't know the rule, you can't go back and call them later.

Illegal dribble.

Think like a referee.

Think like a referee. If you don't call traveling, you didn't see traveling, and there is no traveling, so that will never be corrected because it's never wrong.

More likely, you call traveling and your partner signals count the basket that followed. You both realize the mistake at the next dead ball.

Or you might see the ball go through the hoop on an untouched throw in and you are running back down the court but your partner - who saw nothing - let the players take the ball out, has let the score stand, and the coach has gone to the table for a time out to correct the error.

Or a player taps in at the wrong hoop, and there is an off ball foul while the ball is in the air and you mistakenly count the basket like it's a legit shot or tap. During the free throw you realize your mistake.

But you're not going to correct for missing traveling - or double dribble, or foul, or 5 or 10 seconds, or jump, ever, because we get them all, every time. That's what we do

Not necessarily. The HC wanted a TO because he thought a CE had occurred. The Timer notified the Game Officials at the appropriate time. Since there was no CE, then the HC's team is charged with a TO.
