Miami at North Carolina: Video Request (Clip Added)

With about 22 seconds left in the game, there is a long pass by Miami to the other end of the court. The Miami player bobbles the ball and goes up for a layup but is called for a travel.

I think this was missed, but I would like to see it again.

Peace

Vid request Travel UNC Miami 22 secondseft in game

Looks like a bobble then one or two steps after control. No travel for me.

Forgot I wasn't watching live. I was about 20 minutes behind on DVR. Glad we got it right.

I have no travel due to the bobble. If he had caught it clean on the first touch, it would have been a travel, however, since his left foot was on the floor at that time and he subsequently stepped to his right then left again.

agreed -- and it's tough to see from behind (not faulting the L for getting beat on this)

It looks BAD:eek:, so it has to be TRAVELING!

I find it funny the announcer starts to say something about "Juggling the ball" like that's the reason it was supposedly a travel.

Actually if you saw the broadcast or heard the comments on the replay, the announcers felt this was not a travel. They did not use the terminology correctly, but they pointed out that he did not have control of the ball and did not travel based on that fact. It is rare, but the announcers here were correct. The video just did not reflect that in total.

Peace

This play reminds me of another recent thread involving North Carolina.

10-4. I just heard them start talking in the first clip on that video.

...which means the lead shouldn't have even blown his whistle. If you can't see the ball, you can't know if the player is holding the ball or not.

It's simple... if you're not sure then don't call it.
