I have an intense dislike for the weather.

All of the schools in NW Ohio will be closed tomorrow for the second straight day.

Mark, Jr., and I lost a girls' Jr. H.S. DH today, and he will no doubt lose his boys' FR game tomorrow.

The worst part is that Owens Corning has already notified its employees that its World Headquarters will be closed again tomorrow. That means that the better half (qualitatively speaking) will be working from home for the second day in a row, :(! That means I cannot sit on the sofa watching soap operas and eating bon bons all day, :D.

I've lost 5 games already...

No one likes losing games and I can live with losing games. I just hate the weather period.

Down here in Southeastern VA, we're dipping down below the teens. I see a speck of ice on my street when I wake up and I'm calling in sick. :)

It's 18 right now. :(

I was supposed to have a Tuesday freshman/JV doubleheader a bit of a drive away. The school district shows school is cancelled for Tuesday, but I've yet to receive a more official notice through the host site, assignor, or arbiter.

Chances are I won't get the makeup date for this pair of games, but I could always pick up a different makeup game based on when schools plan to make up these games and whether or not the original officials are already committed to games on those new dates.

I've lost four nights, including tonight, as of right now. None of the schools are in session tomorrow so I am sure tomorrow night will be my fifth night lost. It was -6 last I checked.

There were reports of snow at the Corpus Christi International Airport today. So with that, we have officially started SNOWMAGEDDON 2014 in Southeast Texas.

The weather is so bad that I lost my entire season this year...oh wait that wasn't the weather.

Somehow I ended up with Monday through Thursday off this week.

I couldn't be happier. I don't need to complain about games being canceled AND I'll probably grab a few makeup dates of my choosing down the line.

Win, win.

All schools closed here today too. My first lost game of the season - and it should have been a very good, competitive game too (ARGH!). :(

Our Assignor keeps us with the game when it's rescheduled, so hopefully, I'll be available for the the make-up date).

Yep, I'll take the HEAT above the COLD anytime!

In a case of beautiful irony, it hit 50 here yesterday in Maine, far warmer than most of the nation. We've seen a 60-degree swing in the last week. (Reality has returned. It's 15 now.)

Such is life for a winter sports official, especially where winter is real.

Tell me about it...I'm likely going to have to dial my SPF down to 15 this weekend :p

-40 and below wind chills have closed the schools around Milwaukee and surrounding areas yesterday and today. I think the kiddies are back at it tomorrow though.

I'm kinda glad out game was cancelled tonight. Kinda gets one of my crews out of a bit of a scheduling flap. A game that was originally was supposed to be at the end of November at a school was moved to last Tuesday. Not so bad but the game we were supposed to have tonight would of been at the same school again..which would of been back-to-back home games with this school.

Zoochy Tue Jan 07, 2014 08:33pm

I have not works a game since December 20th. I have games cancelled Monday (1), Tuesday (1), Wednesday (2) and Thursday (1).
I am hoping my Friday game will still be played. St. Louis is expecting more snow on Thursday. Then I am off Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of next week. Geez
