As some of you know, I'm living in an assisted living center since my heart surgery. It's a Jewish health care center here in Portland. We have a resident rabbi on staff. Today, she (yes, she's a girl) called me into her office and said she had a gift for me. She then handed me a yarmulke shaped like half a basketball!
About a month ago, I told her I found a website that made them like sports balls. She said someone gave her a basketball one of those a while ago. She'd look for it and if she found it, she'd give it to me. She recently moved into a new home and she found it while unpacking. It's incredibly cool.
