Train wreck or Foul?

I worked a very low level girls' JV game last night and this play happened.

B is in a full court press. I'm new lead, positioned about two steps on the new frontcourt side of the division line. A1 receives the throw-in and drives my sideline closely followed by B1. B2 establishes LGP on A1 about 10 feet ahead of A1, working on a trap at the division line. As A1 comes within 5 feet of B2, B1 knocks the ball away from A1 towards B2. B2 is surprised by the ball begins to fall backwards and A1 lunges towards the ball and ends up contacting B2 on the front of her torso in the shoulder area as they both fall to the court.

I went with no foul.

To further complicate the matter, B2 was injured on the play and I stopped play almost immediately for her safety. Ball went back to A on team control.

Should this have been a team control foul? Too hard to say without seeing?

Hard to say without seeing. Do you think A1 was "going through" B2 in pursuit of the ball?

Also, were the players "in equally advantageous positions" to get the loose ball?

I agree it's HTBT, but absent some additional action on A's part, I'd go with the no-call.

No, the ball stayed between A1 and B2 so there certainly wasn't a "going through" aspect.

I thought A1 had the more advantageous position because B2 had lost her balance well before any contact.

Then even more probably not a foul.
