This is sort of a tough one, because there has to be no doubt that B1 violated before the ball had the chance to hit the rim. If B1 steps in after the ball missed the ring, clearly its an airball, B's ball. But if it's pretty close? I think I would probably simply call the shooting team's violation and move on if it was not clear.
