He was table side foul was directly in front of him. Ball will be put in play on the table side, side line 5 feet from him where he makes the call.

I was just verifying the long switch only takes place if the ball is going to change directions.

Then yes, you're correct; assuming calling official goes table-side (not the case in all areas).

That's how we did it last year but I didn't know if any of the new changes affected this. I think they only affect if the ball is going to change directions. True?
