¡Sansabelt Shortage!

I spoke with Purchase Officials this morning. They mentioned Sansabelt pleated pants are no longer being manufactured and have been discontinued. Perhaps another manufacturer will pick them up, but for now...buy, buy, buy!

Easy Answer ...

Wait for it. Here it comes. Get ready.

Buy belted pants. Wait? I'm being told ... AremRed isn't from my little corner of Connecticut? Never mind.

Interesting. I wonder if that gives Smitty the biggest market share now?

REFEREE PANT

I spoke with the folks there on University Avenue last week and they assured me that, though Sansibelt are no longer made, they took over manufacture of the line and are selling them under a different name. Said they were actually improving them. Have a pair that I ordered then on the way, so we'll see what they're like when I get 'em.
Doesn't make much "Garage Logic" (that's for you, BEAREF ;) ) that Sansibelt would just go out of business or stop being made. Next thing you know, they're gonna stop making metal whistles and headbands for eyeglasses.

REFEREE PANT

Just received pants from this place today. Seem ok. Not labelled "Sansabelt" because, according to the guy on the phone last week Sansabelt pants aren't made anymore.
Made in Mexico, like Sansabelts were. "Milbern-Comfort Tech" is the name on the tag, which includes the web address Milbern Clothing Company Inc., the same site that the above URL takes me to.
Seem as quality as Sansabelts I had in the past. A trip to the tailor for some hemming and maybe bring the legs in a little and this pair should be ready for the season.
Would be interested if anyone else is trying these this year and if I'm regretting ordering from Smittys.

Just recently made the switch from Honig's to Smitty pants. What a difference!

Good. Very good. I purchased Smitty flat front pants. I hated the honig's flat front. Found them to be very restricting. The Smitty pants are very comfortable and allow for easy movement.

That and they are 40 dollars cheaper then Honig pants doesn't hurt.

Got Sansabelts !!!!!

If you need sansabelts, contact Officially Sports in Pittsburgh.....I purchased three

pairs and was told they have no problem getting them. Their phone number is

800 934 4555......price was $55 a pair. Seemed reasonable to me....

I finally got around to opening my box -- and they were the original sans-a-belts. In at the tailors now.
