A late defender trying to still contest the dunk might not make contact until after the ball is through. It may be close, but due to the way rules are written, we don't really care. The foul is charged and penalized the same until the shooter lands.

The PC version, regardless of the restricted area.

Yeah, probably not likely to have a PC after the ball is through the hoop.

Isn't he still an airborne shooter until he returns to the floor, regardless of where the ball is? What if the defense steps in after shooter jumps, and dunks, and cuts him on the way down. You calling a block or passing?

I'm looking for an F1.

Not passing, just saying that the play is probably unlikely. The point was that if there was a defender there early enough to have position for a PC, they're probably going to be going for the block rather than taking a charge after a dunk.

I see that point.
