Bonita Spence - Rest In Peace
The world of NCAA women's basketball lost a wonderful referee and even better person ealier this week with the passing of Bonita Spence. Bonita has worked the NCAA tourney for a very long time and also officiated in the WNBA.
While I never met her personally, my friends on the women's side spoke highly of her as a mentor and friend. My thoughts and prayers go out to her her famiily and the women's officiating community. Jet Met Fan - I believe you are from the Newark area, could you personally share some stories about her or anyone for that matter ???
