I agree but that wasn't the question. He asked about a fan coming onto the floor, which did happen in the movie. If he wishes to clarify, he can but that's what he asked.

'Tis named after our own, beloved Dan_Ref,for career achievements.
I still feel quite honored to have been bestowed with the inaugural Slappy
Ah yes,the to-scale nude statuette of Dan, in typical pose, with middle finger raised in greeting to the World. I'll bet that it holds a place of honor in your humble abode,Chuck.

Is the middle leg raised also - or can't you tell without a magnifying glass?

Actually it was the question.

Question for the board. In the movie "HOOSIERS", there were 2 calls I'm not sure about. First, can a coach be thrown out of a game without receiving 2 technical fouls? Second, if a fan comes out onto the floor during the game, should you T-up the team that he is rooting for and, if yes, how do you know he really is for that said team. The coach will go crazy saying he has no idea who the person is. Thanks for any replies!
He said there were 2 calls he was questioning. The first was a coach being thrown out after 1 'T'. The second was T'ing up a fan for coming on the floor. It was implied by the first sentence that a 'T' was given in the movie.

That's how I understand the questions, anyway.

In the movie, the officials did permit something that would be illegal by today's rules. (MTDSr will have to tell us if it was legal in the 50s.) I was sure somebody from the board would jump in with this, and somebody did. (Me!)

BSHAUNJEN, care to guess what it is?

No, they allowed Hickory to play with 4 players when a sub was available.

Just a clarification on this question. I believe in the movie the T was issued after Gene Hackman told the ref "Don't worry about him, he's my assistant coach. I'll take care of it."

Viking....

Very good memory!
