Campus Cinderella (Off Topic)
 

I was watching a short by that name on Turner Classic Movies. It was mostly about a college basketball player. It was filmed in 1938. They showed some game footage (not real) and the referee (there was only one) was wearing a long sleeved shirt with buttons on the front, white pants, black shoes and, of course, a wide black belt. There was a jump ball called and they had the players jump at the point where the ball had been held. Also, the ball had laces on it like a football. None of the players had numbers on the fronts of their jerseys and they all shot set shots, except for layups, which were shot underhand.

Oh yeah, the credits listed someone named MTD Sr. as the referee. What a coincidence. :rolleyes:

And after diving into Internet tangent Hell, I found out that the female lead in Campus Cinderella was Penny Shingleton, who became the voice of ......Jane Jetson.
