Nice dunk...play on

Black didn't have LGP and was moving towards white at the time of contact and, as such, was not legal. Not enough for a block, however. Good Dunk.

LGP really doesn't apply here. If it did fouls could never be called in favor of players with inside rebounding position since they'd never be facing their opponent.

I have the contact taking place just before A1 gets control of the ball. I also have the contact as incidental.

If you are officiating players of that caliber whoever is there looking to hire officials would not want anything called on that play.

Agreed.

I partially agree with you. But LGP is required if the other player has the ball. I judged the outside player to have already caught the ball. That means LGP is required.

Aside from that, inside players can still get calls in their favor without LGP since they're not guarding when the ball is still being rebounded. However, they still can't jump back into the player behind any more than the player behind can jump forward into them.

In this case, I see both players jumping towards each other with the outer player jumping first and getting to the ball first.

I'm just a cowardly pawn of the system. :)

Agian thie variance of opinion on how this play would be officiated illustrates how the official's "judgement" inheres. On the one hand we must determine--as it was astutely pointed out--that LGP was not yet established, yet it was also clear that the rebounder was 'on the back'. Over-arching the scenario was the "culture" of the particular game---in this case a competitive aau type of atmosphere where 'athleticism'[regardless of how wayward it is expressed] is celebrated rather than penalized--and this factor has great potential to affect the willingness of the offical to make the "on the back" call [if that's what they 'saw']. So, I would wager in 95% of the time that this would viewed as a "play on" type of play.
