Last Second Shooting Foul
Had this occur recently, looking for help.....
Last seconds of the quarter, team A holding for last shot. Events occur in the following order. A1 starts shooting motion prior to the buzzer, foul occurs and disrupts A1's normal shooting routine, buzzer sounds, A1 releases the ball on the attempt. If A1's attempt is good, does it count with an "and one" free throw? Or, is the basket waived off because the shot wasn't released until after the buzzer, and instead A1 is awarded free throws (2 for two point shot, 3 for three point shot)? Thanks for the help. |
