Continuing the parameters of regimented rehab prescribed as result of aforementioned surgical procedure (which I can't mention MultipleTimes ).
Nothing special: 45 minutes split between Treadmill and Gazelle every other day to keep cardio up and legs in shape.
First time I've set out to remain in mid-season condition throughout the boring months between June camps and December season. We'll see how long it lasts.

Anything outside the scholastic season is off-season for me: AAU, Pro-Am, Camps, etc are all off-season.

Off season? There are more games now than during the winter.

I'm trying some new interval training...

One rep is: Walk for a minute, jog for 15 seconds, sprint for 15 seconds.
Do six reps, then take an extra minute walking.
Then, do five reps, and take an extra minute walking.
Then four reps, extra walking minute, three reps, extra walking minute, two reps, extra walking minute, then really sprint on the last one, 21 total reps. It takes about 45 minutes and you cover a bit more than three miles. I downloaded the JogLog app to guide the workout with audio cues, which works around your iPod/iPhone's music.

Tonight was the first time I did this since my trapezius injury nine days ago. It got me huffing and puffing, but I was soaked in sweat at the end.

Chasing my 20 month old grandson around the house, then followed by a nap.

Baseball umpiring.

Riding my bicycle to and from work every day (6.7 mile round-trip).

Riding my bicycle to about half of my baseball games (anywhere from 2-20 mile round-trip, and yes, I carry all of my plate gear on the bike when I do this).

Running on my non-umpiring days, anywhere from 3-8 miles depending on prior day's activity level and how much time I have that day, always at my 10 minute/mile pace. Usually I ride the bicycle if I have more than an hour to work out, otherwise I run.

I've lost 30 lbs since January, trying to lose 5 more before football season starts, and hoping to lose 15 more overall.
