is this a travel?- video
Basketball Shooting: Post Moves And Drills. Coach Hal Wissel. - YouTube
130 mark on <iframe width="480" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/TydqQokHSNQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
No travel.
Control of ball is obtained in the air, so either foot can be the pivot. After the pivot is lifted, the ball is shot before the pivot returns to the ground. Play on. |
Tweet!!!! Took the bus with no transfer. Travel. Easy call
|
The first two moves they teach are not. THe last 30-40 seconds of the video they add in a move that is not a travel when the coach does is because of when he dribbles, but every player travels on the move.
|
I watched for about 4 minutes and nothing was close to a travel.

Moves from 1:30 - 4:30 are fine. No travel.
Move from 4:45 until end of video is a travel everytime. Player changes pivot feet prior to releasing the dribble. |

After the 4:45 mark, the 1st & 3rd play were travels (lifting pivot prior to releasing ball for dribble).
The 2nd play (2 hand power dribble) was not. |
yeah I thought that as well.
Glad I saw this video. I'm going to try some of these moves and if I see them during games I can be ready |
There isn't a travel among ANY of the moves in this video.
IF you call a travel from the moves in this video, you should expect the same negative reaction that Joey Crawford is getting for his travel on Dwayne Wade near the end of Game 4 v Indiana....a travel simply doesn't exist. |
