at what point does the ncaa consider the D to have to be set? Triche has the ball and has finished his dribble the Mich Defender takes at least 3-4 more steps to get set and is still sliding when the contact occurs.

I won't say never, but a player with LGP does not have to be set.

So, um, never.

Only matters those steps occurred after Triche when airborne.

And if they put him into a new path. IMO, feet shuffling underneath his established position don't take him out of legal position.
