Twitter/websites

Hello everyone

As a new official I'm trying to gather as much info as possible. Any recommendations on twitter or any websites I can look into about becoming a better official. I know experience is the key factor but I also wanna learn as much as I can before heading into summer camps and new season.

Thanks

I'm not sure how valuable a resource Twitter would be for basketball officiating (unless you want to follow me of course :D [at]BradyStiff)

You've found a pretty darn good place for a digital education. We answer questions and discuss officiating philosophies, etc. We also look at video evidence quite a bit, as we have several people who grab video and edit it down to show controversial or questionable plays. I know this place has helped me quite a bit.

You're right, you can read all you want, but nothing is better than hands on experience. But it can't hurt to know everything you can before you step on the floor. Welcome to the forum, and post often!

Many many people use this site to improve their skills.

Personally, I don't know of a better forum, so staying here is your best bet.

Also check out YouTube channels to watch video. There is plenty of video posted here, along with comments.

Try state or local associations for training material. There will be some really good ones out there. Someone else will have to suggest which ones are good at this point in time.

Speaking of which, this YouTube channel is pure gold.

Thanks. This forum is pretty awesome. I'm just a little nervous/excited for the summer camps and leagues.
