In-Bounds Question
Yesterday while watching the Georgetown/FGCU game, the Florida team was whistled for a violation for stepping on the line on a in bounds pass.
Is this rule different in NCAA? I always thought that the line was out, and if you're out of bounds and you step on the line you were still out. But in order for it to be a violation, your foot had to step over the line. Can someone help clarify this. |
I watched the play, asnd the re-plays of the violation that was called. From the camera angle, it was as you said - the thrower stepped on the line, but didn't step across it. The official just missed it.
