Doug Sirmons

Mike Eades is the alternate for both games tonight.

So that leaves John Cahill, Tony Greene, and John Higgins for the final?

Which means Mike will be the alternate on Monday night also.

Do they still have the game officials leave town immediately after doing their game? That never made much sense to me.

Yes officials once done with their game, head home right after words. It is due to the NBA gambling issue with one of their (NBA) former referees. The NCAA shortly after that situation instituted a new stricter policy for their tournament officials.

That policy was in place before the Donaghy betting incident.

Thanks for the clarification BadNewsRef. I thought it was instituted because of Donaghy. I was not aware of that is was effect before hand.
