Correctable Error?

State semi-final tourney game:

B1 fouls A1 non shooting and its the 7th team foul on B results in 1 &1.. Oh no..crew misses 1&1 and instead gives a throw in on endline to A. Throw in occurs and we have a hold on B2.

Question: Do we have a correctable error on missed 1&1 if crew discovered it at this point..before shooting the 1&1 on the hold on b2?

Is it within the allowable time frame?

Thanks!

Yes 2-10-2 Must be recognized by an official no later than during the first dead ball after the clock has properly started.

I was sitting with 3 other officials and we did not know the crew..we assume from another part of state..we recognized they missed the 1+1 and being kind hearted helpful souls..we were yelling 1+1..Correctable error...but the crew must of thought we were just blow hards in the stands and missed the chance to correct..oh well it goes on their evaluation:)

Curious as to why there was no notification from the table?

You would think that a state semi-final game would have an highly experienced, seasoned table crew capable of catching this sort of thing assigned to the game.

Could the free throws have sent the game into OT?

No impact on the final score...Game was won by 18 points...As a member of the club, I like to see officials do well in high profile events and not miss rule issues:)

Unless the table tells them or its visible on the scoreboard this one is not entirely on them.
